We use this space to talk a lot about business technology… but the fun side of tech is undeniable, and we want to be a part of that too.
When a new coffee shop opened in the neighborhood, the community was jazzed. Parkrose desperately needed a gathering place to work quietly, let the kids ride trikes, or catch up with a friend. At SpitzerTech, we wanted to do our part to ensure everyone was aware of the new Parkrose Coffee Shop. We want them around for a long time!
This summer SpitzerTech sponsored two movie nights on the coffee shop’s back patio, bringing our top-of-the-line event gear out to play. Free to the public, these events give neighbors an opportunity to hang out with friends, enjoy the warm weather, and discover the coffee shop’s offerings after hours.
Our company’s Nebula X1 projector is cinema quality, offering a crisp 4k outdoor movie experience, even while the sun is still setting. We brought along two LG XBOOM units for superb audio, ensuring no one was left turning to their neighbor and whispering, “huh?!”
In August, we showed Oregon’s favorite, “The Goonies,” and in September, we opted for the classic family movie, “The Princess Bride.” If the weather holds, we plan to host one more event this year, featuring a screening of “Hocus Pocus” on Friday, October 10th.
Parkrose Coffee Shop brewed tasty beverages, supplied free movie popcorn, and sold cookies and pastries. Neighbors brought camping chairs, blankets, picnics, and strollers. Our September event drew nearly 50 adults, with most bringing their children along. It was a great crowd!
We love supporting enterprise servers and maintaining your office machines but we have to admit, this side of running an IT firm is pretty fun too.
