The mere mention of some months bring to mind certain events. When you think of December, it’s natural to picture the holidays; when you think of June, we all imagine school letting out for summer. In the world of technology, January is synonymous CES – the Consumer Electronics Show.

CES is when the world gathers to show off any and all tech that is new, improved, or cutting edge. Part trade show, part science fiction, part world’s fair, CES is where many of us get our first glimpses at what might be the Next Big Thing.

Here at Spitzer Tech, our company chat has been a flurry of links and posts, while we keep up with what was happening at CES 2025. With more than 4,500 exhibitors, it can feel overwhelming for a novice to dive directly into the news coming out of CES. Products range wildly and can include robotics, gaming consoles, cameras, audio gear, AI adaptive technologies, vehicles, drones, software, and more. Nearly 150,000 people descended on Las Vegas this year to take part.

If you want to stay in the know but don’t want to be overwhelmed, get the reader’s digest version of what was exciting at CES this year, straight from our team at Spitzer Tech.

Warren’s choice is truly nitty gritty, because he’s interested in what *inside* the computer. He’s excited to see the graphic cards AMD has been working on, attempting to match NVIDA’s performance without the price tag.

Mikel is excited about the second generation of Lenovo’s Legion Go, a hand held gaming console that makes PC gaming portable. The second generation promises to be bigger, better, faster – and more ergonomic!

Sorren was thrilled to see tech reaching out to the natural world, in the form of Wonder’s Petal – a camera designed to look like a flower to attract wildlife closer, to allow for better image capture. The Petal also boasts the ability to track beneficial pollinators, which can be hugely helpful to anyone looking to cultivate a thriving garden space.

David always has his eyes on the future, so his choice of the Even Realities glasses surprised no one. In this futuristic eyewear, the lenses are able to be both prescription and computer screen. Goodbye to looking down at your phone – the display is right in front of you!

Martin’s favorite gadget coming from CES was the Ozlo Sleepbuds. Not only are these light weight, ultra comfy headphones designed for sleep, they can also measure your body’s biometrics from their perch atop your ears. Talk about high tech!

Are you someone who follows along with tech news? Did you have anything catch your eye at CES this January?

(And if you’re reading this from CES itself – wanna send us tickets so we can come too?)
