What a year 2024 has been! Being a small business means rolling with the punches, whatever they may be. Our constant goal is to be effective and nimble, solving our client’s issues before they become full-blown problems. That means expecting the unexpected! Here’s what stood out to us as we looked back on this past year at Spitzer Technology Consulting.
In 2024 we handled 261 technical tickets, which a client submits when they need support. (255 of those tickets closed with a “great” rating from the user!)
We rode the wave through 52 Manic Mondays. Mondays here are like Mondays in every office – except we’re handling every one of those offices’ technical problems, all at once. It’s always a wild way to start the week.
Our staff had 3 BBQ lunches behind the warehouse when the sun came out in May. David followed an impulse and bought a mini grill one day on his way back from an onsite appointment. Our staff are like every other Oregonian in that sense – the sun makes us go a little wild.
We worked with 9 small businesses neighbors in our business park. Supporting the community is a huge part of our company ethos and there is no better way to live that prerogative than by spending money with our neighbors. (Keep your dollars local!)
Mikel and Sorren defused 2 “spicy burritos,” i.e. computer batteries that have failed and started to swell, posing a significant fire hazard and explosion risk.
This year saw 36 Best Buy runs for tech gadgets, computer parts, hardware, cables, and the occasional video game … *cough, cough*
We onboarded 2 new full-time employees, bring our office staff up to 7 folks!
39 seconds is the average time needed to get a STC engineer on the phone.
AND! We now have 1 company baby, and the crew held down the fort for 30 days during David’s paternity leave.
We loved sharing 2024 with you and we cannot wait to see what 2025 has in store!
